The Quintessa their home base during their weeklong stay.

"Our family reunion at
The Quintessa on Whidbey Island was wonderful. From grandchildren to grandparents, everyone enjoyed it. We did some touring on the island as well as fishing at Deception Pass State Park. The huge grassy area provided plenty of room for football, badminton, frisbee throwing while the two year olds played under the trees. We cooked most of our meals in the spacious kitchen, and the weather was nice enough to barbeque on the deck." Grandpa Kent's 70th Birthday |
"We were 10 families
with kids of ages ranging from infants to teens. All of us had so much fun. The kids loved the dress up costumes, air hockey and the board games. The view was great and so peaceful. The house had everything that we could think of and everything that we needed during our stay. Very neat and well organized. We had a very comfortable and fun couple days. It truly felt like a home away from home. We would gladly recommend the house to friends/relatives. Thank you!" Baiju & family |
"Wonderful Family Reunion!
Now that we are back to reality, I can sit and reflect on what a wonderful time we had at the Quintessa.
The grounds are beautiful, the house is roomy and well-stocked, the owners are lovely and helpful!
There was even a clothing steamer to take the wrinkles out of our dresses and suits!
It was such a joy to have three generations together in the home.
We enjoyed the toys for the little ones, the spacious living room for our charades,
cooking together in the spacious kitchens, and the lovely surroundings for hiking, kayaking and shopping.
We made memories to last a lifetime!"

The Cottage
Full kitchen, separate shower and jetted tub with bath salts cozy electric fireplace deck with a view of Puget Sound that overlooks The Quintessa gardens This quaint home is equipped with 1 queen bed, 1 sofa bed, and extra twin mattress with a frame (sleeps 2-5 guests) |
The Studio

We provide all bedding (linens and towels), bath liquids (shampoo, conditioner, soap) so that you and your out-of-town family do not have to travel with that, hair dryers, irons, some paper products (toilet paper, paper towels, napkins) including saran wrap and foil in the kitchen, and spices. Our kitchens are stocked (we encourage cooking for family and group sharing) with pots, pans, bowls, trays, platters, dishes, glasses, silverware, wine glasses for about 50. We also have extras such as crock pots, a blender, mixer, pitchers, and a rice cooker.
We have a propane BBQ. Seasonally, our garden has fruit, vegetables, and herbs for your use. We have a high chair and both a bassinet and a Pack 'N Play for babies. There are 4 six foot folding tables that can be taken outside for more dining plus 25 portable chairs. That is in addition to the many tables and chairs we have outside on the decks for outdoor dining. Enjoy indoor and outdoor games!
