Wander on Whidbey
Set on the southern part of Whidbey Island, The Quintessa is located within minutes to many attractions including a variety of beaches and an abundance of local artists’ studios. Take a drive to nearby Langley “The Village by the Sea,” featuring a vintage movie house, live music and theater, eclectic boutiques, art galleries, antique shops, bookstores and fabulous food! |
A year-round creek and several ponds
are located on The Quintessa There is a short trail across the creek and through the woods. Our Italian plum, apple, asian pear trees bear fruit during the summer to the delight of our guests who also enjoy fresh herbs and vegetables from our raised garden beds. Mint Julep, anyone? |
"A perfect house for multiple generations and kids!
Imagine spending a rainy November week with multiple generations
of family members including 7 small to mid-sized children, all under one roof for the entire week. Sounds like a nightmare, doesn't it?
Not if you're staying at The Quintessa.
Carrie and Tessa have outfitted their huge estate with playthings
for all ages, including costumes and clothing for dress-up for the little ones, toys and stuffed animals, games, puzzles for old and young,
and last but not least, Air Hockey for the bigger kids.
There is even a plastic covered craft table in the kitchen!
It was heaven!
We were able to sleep all the kids on one level along with a
responsible adult couple, gave the eldest couple their own cottage retreat, and our hard-working ranch couple their own
"anniversary" suite. I am disabled and on oxygen, and the main floor - where the family gathered daily, was perfect for me,
with a bedroom and bathroom close by the kitchen.
Carrie and Tessa were helpful and
quick to respond to any request, since they live on the property.
The location was perfect for several excursions, to Langley,
Fort Casey, The Whale Museum and Deception Pass.
One couple even went all the way to Hurricane Ridge!
This is a vacation I will never forget!"
