We’re entering the summer of the staycation here in Washington. But with local destinations like Whidbey Island available to us, it won’t be so bad sticking close to home this year. The Quintessa is located in Clinton, set back on a quiet road (but not far from local amenities).
The property itself is pretty massive -- the house has nine bedrooms, four bathrooms, two kitchens, and amazing formal dining rooms.
The Quintessa is often booked for weddings, family reunions, and small retreats. And you won't find a more beautiful place to wed than the onsite gardens.
The cottage sits in a separate corner, close to the main house but far enough away to offer plenty of privacy.
Inside the cottage, you'll find a cozy living area and a full kitchen stocked with everything you need to prepare your own meals. The owners, Carrie and Tessa, also leave personal touches and suggestions for things to do on the island.
The bedroom has an extremely comfortable queen-sized bed and TV in case you'd like to watch a late night movie...
... and the bathroom is equipped with both a full shower and this gorgeous jetted tub. A lengthy soak after a long day of nature walks and beach time is pure bliss.
Stroll the vibrant gardens for a while, or take them in from your deck. And don't miss the subtle views of the Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains in the background.
